Program Development
Associates Initiative
Overview
Universities, academic medical centers, and other organizations interested in establishing health technology innovation education programs can get direct, ongoing assistance from Stanford Biodesign by becoming Program Development Associates.
Through the Program Development Associate (PDA) initiative, Stanford Biodesign provides regular support, coaching, and materials to accelerate the launch of your local Biodesign-like program. Specific offerings include live lectures from Stanford Biodesign faculty, access to proprietary teaching materials, syllabi, and curriculum documents, customized meetings related to program development/management, and real-time troubleshooting and assistance as issues and challenges arise. Participants also will be invited for an annual site visit to Stanford Biodesign on the Stanford University campus for in-person training, collaboration, and networking.
PDA agreements typically are for three years so that the activities we undertake together can span program launch, growth, and sustainability. Institutions generally are eligible to pursue a PDA agreement after one or more faculty members complete the Global Faculty Training program. For some organizations, the PDA program is a stepping stone to becoming a formal Stanford Biodesign global affiliate.
