Katie Meyer is the Vice President of Public Affairs at Novocure, a global oncology company working to extend survival in some of the most aggressive forms of cancer with its innovative therapy, Tumor Treating Fields. Katie joined Novocure in 2021 to build the company’s government affairs department and now oversees government affairs, policy, charitable contributions, and US market access.

Prior to joining Novocure, Katie was a Senior Policy Advisor to then House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy. For nearly five years, she managed the healthcare portfolio for the House Republican conference, as well as a host of other issues, including international trade, veterans affairs, education and labor, and small business. Katie joined McCarthy’s staff after serving as Deputy Health Policy Director at the Senate Finance Committee under Chairman Orrin G. Hatch. Prior to her Senate service she worked for House Ways & Means Committee member Erik Paulsen, where she co-led the House Medtech Caucus. Katie led the repeal the medical device tax and the individual mandate tax, helped create a private health care option for veterans, organized legislative efforts to increase access to care and treatment options for those affected by the opioid epidemic, and negotiated several legislative packages to speed the development of covid vaccines and bolster the healthcare system during the pandemic.

Katie earned a Master of Public Policy and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Virginia. She lives in Arlington, Virgina with her husband and two young children.
