Stanford OTL
Stanford Office of Technology Licensing
Stanford Biodesign works closely with the Stanford University Office of Technology Licensing (OTL) to help accelerate the delivery of new health technologies into patient care. Stanford University is deeply committed to the translation of inventions into products that serve the public, and the university is supportive of faculty members, fellows, and students becoming inventors and commercializing their technologies. Such technologies may stem from Stanford Biodesign training programs or the translational grants that we oversee.
Fundamentally, the intellectual property of technologies invented by students, fellows, and faculty while enrolled in Stanford Biodesign programs is owned by Stanford University. Stanford Bidoesign works collaboratively with our trainees and the Office of Technology Licensing to help facilitate the disclosure, review, patenting, and licensing of these technologies.
