Terence D. Sanger, M.D., Ph.D., is currently a Provost Associate Professor of Biomedical Engineering, Neurology, and Biokinesiology at USC in addition to being on the medical staff at the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. Previously, he served as an Assistant Professor of Child Neurology in the Department of neurology and Neurological Sciences at Stanford University. Concurrently, he was also on the medical staff at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital until 2009. His other prior appointments include clinical fellow of the Movement Disorders Unit, a Resident at Children's Hospital Department of Neurology, postdoctoral research assistant at MIT, a clinical fellow at the Children's Hospital Department of Neurology, a Resident of Pediatrics at USC Medical Center, research staff at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and an intern in Pediatrics at USC. Dr. Sanger holds B.A. and M.S. degrees in Applied Mathematics from Harvard College and University. He went on to earn his M.D. from Harvard Medical School and later his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Dr. Sanger has won numerous scholarships and honors throughout his career. He has also completed several years of post-doctoral and resident training as well as research fellowship programs.
