Tim brings more than 15 years of entrepreneurial experience to Arboretum Ventures, as an investor, entrepreneur and educator. Prior to joining Arboretum, Tim spent four years as the Managing Director of the Wolverine Venture Fund and of the Samuel Zell and Robert H. Lurie Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies at the University of Michigan. During his time leading the Wolverine Venture Fund, an evergreen fund that includes the active participation of Michigan MBA students, he directed the Fund?s investments into a number of promising start-ups in the life science and information technology sectors. Prior to Michigan, Tim spent nine years at Industrial Economics, based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, becoming a member of the firm?s senior management team in 1991. Industrial Economics, founded in the early 1980s, is a leader in the fields of environmental science and natural resource damage assessment. Tim holds a BA in Economics from Williams College, an MS in Economics from the University of Wisconsin, and an MBA from the University of Michigan. He is regularly interviewed by the media on entrepreneurial and venture topics, and has been recently quoted in the Wall Street Journal and Entrepreneur Magazine.
