Kelly Richardson , MD

Dr. Kelly Richardson is an Electrophysiologist with Kaiser Pemanente Medical Group. She did her Cardiac Electrophysiology fellowship at Stanford University. She received her BS in biology with honors from the University of North Carolina in 1993 and completed her medical training at Vanderbilt School of Medicine in 1998. She then moved to Harvard Medical School where she completed her residency training in internal medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital. Following residency, Dr. Richardson came West to California where she joined the Stanford cardiology fellowship program in 2001. She served as the Chief Fellow in 2002-2003 and completed her general cardiology training in 2004. Previously, she has worked on a number of research projects, including outcome research on an extensive electrocardiogram database as well as genetic research in the polymorphisms of the angiotensin converting enzyme and the plasminogen activator enzyme. She has won a number of awards, such as the Dean's Grant. Dr. Richardson's current focus is related to cardiac pacing for treatment of heart failure. During her electrophysiology fellowship she has become interested with innovation and biodesign.
