Since 2010, Dr. Mourlas has served as President and CEO of Tarsus Medical, Inc. an early stage medical device company focused on novel solutions in extremity orthopedics. Prior to Tarsus, from 2003 to 2009, he was the CEO of Acumen Medical, Inc. a company founded for the purpose of commercializing novel lead delivery technologies, one of which he invented while a fellow at Stanford. As CEO he led Acumen through three rounds of financing and was responsible for managing execution from inception through commercialization. He was the John B. Simpson Innovation Fellow at Stanford in 2001-2002. Dr. Mourlas received a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, and an A.B. in Engineering Sciences from Dartmouth College.
