Michael Lachman launched Lachman Consulting LLC in 2005 to provide strategic advisory services and market research and analytics to innovators and investors in medical technology. Previously, Michael was a managing director and equity research analyst with ThinkEquity Partners, a growth-focused investment bank, where his research was focused primarily on ophthalmology, orthopedics, and specialty cardiology. Before that, Michael was a medical device analyst with Hambrecht & Quist, where he received a #1 ranking in medical industry stock picking in the Wall Street Journal All-Star Analyst Survey. Michael worked in business development for the Ethicon Endo-Surgery division of Johnson & Johnson, and began his medical device career with Baxter Healthcare Corporation, working in both research & development and product management, with a focus on implantable surgical products.

Michael holds an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and an M.B.A. from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. Michael received a B.S. in Aeronautical Engineering with highest honors from the University of Illinois.
