Ken is currently an R&D Engineer at Spiracur, Inc. working on a novel therapeutic medical device in the area of wound care. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Princeton University in 2000, receiving his B.S.E. in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering along with Certificates in Engineering Physics and Materials Science & Engineering. He then continued his studies as a Stanford Graduate Fellow in the Mechanical Engineering department at Stanford University, receiving his M.S. in 2001, and completed his Ph.D. in June 2006. His doctorate research examined mechanical and fracture properties of soft tissues, focusing on human stratum corneum, the outermost layer of the skin. Ken recently completed the Stanford Biodesign Innovation Fellowship in June 2007. Subsequently, he worked on a post-doctoral project, now a standalone start up company, focused on improved wound healing as well as co-founding InSite Medical Technologies, a company in the anesthesia space to improve delivery of pain medication during labor and delivery.
