Ferolyn Powell is an executive with more than 25 years experience in the medical device industry. She is currently Divisional Vice President and General Manager, Structural Heart, Abbott Vascular. Previously, she was President, CEO and Director of Evalve, Inc. Prior to joining Evalve in 1999, Ms. Powell held various positions at General Surgical Innovations (acquired by Tyco) including Vice President of Operations, with responsibility for Quality and Regulatory Affairs. Ms. Powell also previously served as head of R&D at Adjacent Surgical (acquired by GSI), and Director of R&D at Devices for Vascular Interventions (DVI), Guidant Corporation's atherectomy catheter division. Prior to DVI, Ms. Powell held various technical management positions at Frantz Medical Development and Life Systems, Inc. She holds an M.S.E. degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Akron and a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from Cleveland State University
