Dorothea was a Henkens Biodesign fellow from 2007-2008 who worked to address clinical needs in the areas of Critical Care and Electrophysiology. Prior to starting the fellowship, she completed her M.S. degree in Bioengineering at Stanford, where she specialized in the field of Medical Devices. In 2006, Dorothea received her B.S. in Biomedical Engineering with a double major in Economics from Northwestern University. Dorothea has a dual interest in cardiac and diagnostic devices. She is passionate about innovation and design thinking, and intends to work at the forefront of the biomedical industry by designing user-centered medical devices that will impact lives around the world.
