Debra S. Echt, MD Co-founder, EBR Systems, Inc. Dr. Echt is board certified cardiologist with international recognition in interventional electrophysiology. In May, 2003, she co-founded a medical device start-up company pursuing novel approaches in cardiac therapy. Prior to this venture, she held V.P. level positions at other cardiac device companies; Timi3 Systems, Inc, Xoft MicroTube, and Cardiac Pathways Corp. She was previously Associate Professor of Medicine and Director of the Arrhythmia Section at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. She held a concurrent position as a consultant and member of the US FDA?s Circulatory System Device Advisory panel for 1991-1996. Dr. Echt has held faculty positions in the Cardiology Division at Stanford University School of Medicine. Dr. Echt?s educational background includes an undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering from Purdue University, an MD from Case Western Reserve University, and cardiology fellowship training at Stanford University.
