Colin is a Co-founder and Chief Development Officer of Simpirica Spine, a Bay Area medical device company focused on the development and commercialization of novel devices for spinal stabilization. Colin helped build Simpirica out of Stanfords Biodesign program and served as the companys CEO from 2006-2009. Prior to Simpirica, Colin spent summers in the Life Sciences group at InterWest Partners and in Endosurgery Clinical Affairs at Boston Scientific. Colin previously spent several years in business development and operations for biotech startups and served as a strategy consultant at Boston Consulting Group for pharmaceutical companies in the U.S. and Europe. Colin received an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar. Prior to business school, Colin completed an M.S. in Biological Sciences at Stanford, during which he performed research related to cardiac cell therapy in the Clark Center. Colin received his undergraduate degrees in Biological Sciences and Economics from Stanford.
