Palo Alto, CA 2002 MedScholar FellowChris has been involved in cardiovascular device development since 1996, working in roles from design engineering to executive management. He is also board certified in internal medicine with a research focus in cardiovascular electrophysiology. Chris began his career in engineering at Medtronic AneuRx developing AAA stent grafts. He then joined Bacchus Vascular to lead initial development of the Trellis Isolated Thrombolysis Catheter. Chris attended Stanford Medical School and was awarded the Biodesign Fellowship in 2002. Building on work started at Stanford, Chris co-founded Acumen Medical, a company focused on cardiac lead delivery. He served as Acumen's Chief Medical Officer and on the Board of Directors until 2007. Chris temporarily left industry to complete his residency at Stanford, and in 2009 founded Atrevo, a design firm directed toward development of cardiovascular catheters. Chris has published several peer reviewed articles relating to intracardiac direct visualization and ablation. He currently holds 12 US patents. In addition to the foregoing, Chris received a BS with distinction from Stanford University's Program in Science, Technology, and Society with a technical concentration in chemistry. Chris also received a MA in Russian and East European Studies from Stanford.
