Mr. Gong joined Intuitive in November 1997 from VLSI Technology, Inc., where he was the Group Controller for the Computing and Consumer Products Divisions. Previously, Mr. Gong held financial management positions at Sun Microsystems. He also served as a management consultant at Ernst and Young LLP. Mr. Gong received a BS from Stanford University and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. For the past 11 years, I have had the privilege of leading a majority of the Finance activities at Intuitive Surgical. In that time, Intuitive has grown from a start-up company to $875M in revenues this past year.
