Andrew Cleeland is an executive with 24 years in the medical device industry. Andrew has recently joined The Foundry’s NewCo XII as its president and CEO. Most notably Andrew was the president and CEO of Ardian, Inc. prior to its recent acquisition by Medtronic – which was one of the largest venture-funded exits in med-tech history. Andrew's experience includes both private and public sector roles. Andrew started with the Australian Government’s Therapeutic Goods Administration, progressed to large medtech companies in Telectronics Pacing Systems and Baxter Healthcare, then to three Bay Area start-ups in Radiant Medical, Ardian, Inc. (including a brief stint at Medtronic following its acquisition of Ardian) and Foundry NewCo XII. He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Biophysics) from the Swinburne Institute of Technology.
