Yashdeep Kumar is the Managing Director of Medical Devices at Stryker Corporation in India. Stryker Corporation is a global leader in medical technology with a leadership position in Orthopedics. Since joining Stryker in 1996, Mr. Yashdeep has held various leadership positions in product development, sales, and marketing before holding his current position. Early in his career, he developed battery powered surgical instrumentation and has been awarded three design patents. Yashdeep pioneered the development and market launch of Computer Assisted Surgery for Orthopaedics in the United States. He led the entire business cycle of taking a concept to market creation and the development of a successful global business unit with triple digit growth and market domination. In 2006, Yashdeep conceptualized and created the Stryker Global Technology Center in Gurgaon, India. He relocated to India to encourage leaders who will accelerate innovation and help develop high quality, lower cost medical devices. The group is now one of the leading centers in India committed to the development of medical technology for diverse use ranging from beds and stretchers to advanced surgical devices. In 2010, Yashdeep's responsibility extended to the development of Stryker's market in India. Since then he has significantly increased presence in Orthopaedics, Endoscopy, and Hospital Infrastructure. Yashdeep graduated with a Bachelor's of Technology in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, an M.S in Biomedical Engineering, from the University of Tennessee, and an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He has also attended the Leadership Programs at Harvard Business School.
