Design Inexpensive Knee Prosthetic The Biodesign-sponsored project
in Tom Andriacchi's Medical Device course for the 2007-08 academic year
was a prosthetic knee designed to meet the needs of the medically-underserved.
The resulting device can be manufactured for around $30. The
device was designed under the auspices of the Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang
Sahayata Samiti (BMVSS) in Jaipur India, home of the renowned Jaipur prosthetic
foot.
