Computing Resources

Shared Drive; The drive is clark-nas-1.stanford.edu/biodesign

Here are instructions to get to it on your PC:

1. Right click on 'My Computer' and select 'Map Network Drive'
2. Select an unused letter
3. In the 'Folder' field type \\clark-nas-1.stanford.edu\biodesign
4. If you are on the Stanford Windows Domain and you have a kerberos ticket click finished
5. If you are logged in as a local user on your computer, click on 'Connect using a different username'
6. Type your sunetid preceded by win\ e.g. win\cquinn
7. Type your password, click ok

If you're on a Mac:

1. Go to the Finder
2. From the Go Menu, select "Connect to Server"
3. Type in smb://clark-nas-1.stanford.edu/biodesign
4. You will be prompted for your username and password - this will be win\sunetid and password

Making International Phone Calls

Skype is your best bet - both parties need skype IDs and the skype software. If both computers have cameras you can also videoconference through skype. If there are more than 2 parties, you can't use video, but you can do conference calls.

Dial 9 + 011 + country code + city code + telephone number ...

You hear three beeps followed by a dial tone and must enter your 7-digit authorization code before the Stanford system processes the call.
